Felicity Roche

Felicity Roche is a singer, instrumentalist, and composer who seeks to bring out the best in every student. Her freshman year of high school, Felicity was placed in a chorus class; although chorus wasn’t her first choice, her time in band had equipped her well. Her passion for singing was renewed, and she went on to participate in four CMEA all-state festivals as well as the NAfME All-National Choir her senior year.

Felicity graduated from Wheaton College in Chicagoland where she received her Bachelor of Music Education. There, she studied voice under Sarah Holman, as well as flute under Jennie Oh Brown and piano under Deborah Hollinger. She sang and played in a variety of ensembles and served as Honors Conductor for both the Men’s Glee Club and Women’s Chorale under the direction of Mary Hopper. Felicity enjoyed collaborating on innovative projects and studying composition aside from her regular coursework. Her works have been performed by conservatory peers, members of the Women’s Chorale, and the Advanced Treble Choir at Glenbard West High School where she student taught.

Felicity brings her love of music with her wherever she goes. After graduating, she taught private lessons and assisted in musical theater productions at The Real School of Music in Andover, Massachusetts. In 2024, she traveled through Youth With a Mission and led worship music with internationals in Norway and Uganda. She loves discovering and creating new music, and one of her compositions entitled “Rejoice” was recently performed by the Seneca High School Chamber Singers in Tabernacle, New Jersey. Now back in the States, Felicity enjoys incorporating musical improvisation into her sets at Breakthrough Worship Center in Springfield, and her all-time favorite gig is singing Christmas carols at the festive Student Prince Cafe and The Fort.

As an instructor, Felicity’s goal is for her students to discover their innate musical gifts and to be empowered to steward and share those gifts. She brings joy, creativity, and musical rigor into her lessons while meeting students where they are, developing their confidence in themselves and their artistry. She is excited to be part of the Fox Hill team!
